1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AiTun secure tunnel and NAT traversal service operated by SamAI Group ("we", "us", "our") at https://aitun.cc. By creating an account, generating a tunnel token, or using any part of the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU) to use AiTun. By using the service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and are legally able to form a binding contract.
3. Service Description
AiTun is a lightweight secure tunnel and NAT traversal service that exposes local servers to the public internet. The service includes:
- Free trial tunnels — auto-expiring after 24 hours, accessible at
*.t.aitun.cc or aitun.cc/s/<code>, no account required
- Registered subdomain tunnels — permanent tunnels accessible at
<your-name>.aitun.cc, account required
- TCP port forwarding — SSH-over-TLS, RDP tunneling, MySQL/Postgres tunneling via the
aitun PyPI package
- P2P direct mode — IPv6/IPv4 peer-to-peer connection (default), with relay fallback
4. Your Account
- You must provide a valid email address for account registration.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and tunnel tokens.
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account, including tunnels created with your tokens.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or leaked tunnel tokens.
- One person may maintain at most one free account. Multiple accounts require written approval.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use AiTun only for lawful purposes. You must NOT use the service to:
- Tunnel content that is illegal in Singapore (where the service is hosted) or your jurisdiction
- Distribute malware, ransomware, phishing pages, or other malicious payloads
- Run command-and-control (C2) servers for botnets
- Launch DDoS attacks or amplify network abuse through the tunnels
- Host child sexual abuse material (zero-tolerance — immediate ban and report to authorities)
- Tunnel pirated content or facilitate copyright infringement
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from our binary clients
- Bypass rate limits, tunnel quotas, or authentication mechanisms
- Resell or sublicense access to AiTun tunnels without a written partnership agreement
- Register subdomains that impersonate other brands, trademarks, or individuals
6. Tunnel Content and Privacy
Passthrough design: AiTun tunnels are passthrough. We do not inspect, log, decrypt, or store the content of HTTP/TCP traffic flowing through your tunnels.
- You are solely responsible for the legality and nature of content you tunnel through AiTun.
- We may inspect connection-level metadata (IP, port, byte counts, timestamps) for billing, abuse prevention, and SLA compliance — never content.
- For free trial tunnels, an unobtrusive "Powered by AiTun" badge may be injected into HTML responses via nginx sub_filter. This is removed for registered accounts.
- Tunnel content is not backed up; if a tunnel is terminated, all in-flight data is lost.
7. Subdomain Policy
Registered users may claim one free subdomain at <name>.aitun.cc. Subdomains are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The following restrictions apply:
- Subdomain names must not violate trademarks, impersonate other brands, or contain offensive terms
- We reserve the right to reclaim subdomains that violate these Terms or are inactive for more than 90 days
- Subdomain transfers to other accounts require written approval
- Premium subdomains (single-letter, common dictionary words) may require a paid plan
8. Rate Limits and Quotas
- Free trial tunnels: 1 tunnel per IP, 1 Mbps bandwidth cap, 24-hour expiry
- Registered free accounts: 3 concurrent tunnels, 10 Mbps aggregate bandwidth
- Paid plans: Configurable, subject to fair use policy
- Exceeding rate limits may result in temporary throttling or tunnel termination
- We may adjust quotas with 14 days' notice via email or in-app notification
9. Client Software
The aitun PyPI package and pre-built binaries (Linux/macOS/Windows/Android) are provided as client tools for accessing the service. The package is licensed under the MIT License for the client code; the server remains proprietary.
- You may use, modify, and redistribute the client package per the MIT License
- You may not use the client to access the service in violation of these Terms
- We may update the client at any time; old versions may stop working with security updates
- The Android version includes a tray application with a system notification icon
10. Intellectual Property
The AiTun service, including its server software, design, trademarks, logos, and documentation, is the property of SamAI Group and protected by intellectual property laws. The MIT-licensed client package is an exception — its source code is freely available on PyPI.
You may not:
- Use our trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written consent
- Copy or redistribute our server software without written permission
- Remove or alter any copyright or proprietary notices
11. Disclaimers
The service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Uninterrupted or error-free tunnel connectivity
- That tunnels will be reachable from all networks (some ISPs block P2P traffic)
- That free trial tunnels will not expire before 24 hours (subject to maintenance)
We do not guarantee tunnel uptime beyond the published SLA (currently 99% for paid plans).
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- SAMAI GROUP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM TUNNEL DOWNTIME, DATA LOSS, OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR LOCAL SERVICE.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, or USD $50, whichever is greater.
- We are not liable for any content you tunnel through the service (passthrough design).
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SamAI Group from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your breach of these Terms
- Content you tunnel through the service
- Your violation of applicable law or third-party rights
14. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time from the admin panel. We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms (especially acceptable use rules)
- Your account is inactive for more than 12 months
- Required by law enforcement or court order
- Your tunnels generate excessive abuse reports
Upon termination, all active tunnels are immediately closed and subdomains are released after a 30-day grace period (in case you want to re-register).
15. Service Changes and Discontinuation
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email or in-app notification. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the service.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
17. Dispute Resolution
Before filing a lawsuit, both parties agree to attempt good-faith negotiation for 30 days. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to confidential arbitration in Singapore under the rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC).
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via the admin panel and email at least 14 days before the effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
